I wish I knew there was nothing wrong with me, when you kept leaving.

I wish I knew You only took advantage of my dotting heart walking away knowing fully well I would open the door once again when you come back,

I wish I knew what it was like to be loved,

I wish I knew I wasn't weak those night's I cried,

I wish I knew how much I was hurting myself for you

I wish I knew how to love myself more

I wish I knew what it was like to be happy

I wish I knew happiness starts from within 

I wish I knew it was okay to be naive because I was only 18 (A Teen)

I wish I knew being sweet and nice wasn't a bad thing because it was

I wish I knew what it was like to have self confidence

I wish I knew I broke me for you not knowing I would lose myself completely

I wish I knew your words were filled with lies and manipulation

I wish I knew the day we met you would be a disaster in my life 

I wish I knew you took away my smile filling it with sadness, darkness and pain.

I wish I knew I was happy before I met you

I wish I knew I was a whole before you broke me.

But thank you for those moments it made me stronger, I might have regretted being with you but I once loved you.

But  it is time I love myself and be myself.

I wish I knew I wish I knew.

I am 20

And now I know.

       I was still a young girl learning and observing life although I went through alot emotionally and mentally but it made me stronger, my writings also helped me get through.

"𝘐 𝘞𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘐 𝘒𝘯𝘦𝘸" is talking about my past because I struggled with self confidence, I looked down on myself so much and I felt I wasn't good enough. But I'm glad that I'm learning to love myself and do what makes me happy. Don't let your partner be it a man or a woman be the reason for your sadness, you deserve better and you deserve to be happy. Know that happiness starts with you, it comes from within and I want you to know that you aren't alone and you are loved.
